90 Grad
by Gunnar Kuhlencord

Think around the corner …
The game rules of 90 GRAD are easy to explain.
But from your first move on, you’ll realize that things that sounded so simple are actually very complex when put into action. So your first moves are more like trial and error.

Each player has 6 marbles and one winning marble. The objective is to either push your opponent’s winning marble off the board or shove your own winning marble onto the marked center point.

So far, so simple! – The moving range is determined by the number of marbles in the respective line. You may move your marble that number of points, but turning the direction 90 degrees.

That means: If you want to move horizontally, the moving range is calculated by the number of marbles that lie vertically in the respective line. If you want to move vertically, you count the marbles lying horizontally in that line.

The surface of the game board has been designed in such a way that players can shove multiple marbles at once.

Not suitable for children under 36 months! Small parts can be swallowed.

For 2 players, 10 years and up
Playing time: around 10 – 15 minutes

20 x 20 cm game board made of solid beechwood, treated with protective oils
Marbles and glass beads

32.90€

Well-designed examples do more than illustrate an answer; they reveal how a method works and where judgment is required. In classrooms and professional training, a worked example is strongest when it states the problem, shows the relevant steps, and explains why each decision matters. In assessment design, a test example should mirror the skill being measured while remaining distinct enough to show whether learners can transfer the method rather than memorize a pattern. The surrounding practice should then vary the data, wording, or constraints, because small changes expose gaps that a repeated exercise may conceal. Clear solutions are also important: they should identify common errors, distinguish essential reasoning from optional detail, and provide a standard against which learners can check their work. Used this way, examples become a bridge between explanation and independent performance, supporting both accuracy and adaptable thinking without reducing complex subjects to formulaic routines.
